Back to Basics: Connecting Your Portis Wallet with Mint Gold Dust

Welcome back to Mint Gold Dust’s Back to Basics series! This series is designed to guide new collectors who are connecting their wallets and buying their first NFT, as well as experienced NFT collectors who may be new to Mint Gold Dust.

This week, we are walking through creating a new wallet with Portis and connecting it with Mint Gold Dust from your desktop.

Portis is a Blockchain wallet that can be used from any browser to buy, sell, and spend crypto. It offers a user-friendly interface without having to download any extra apps or plugins while allowing you to purchase crypto using a debit or credit card.

To begin, visit www.mintgolddust.com and click the gold “SIGN IN” button on the top right hand corner.

From there, you will be prompted to choose a wallet provider. Highlight the Portis icon and select “Connect with Portis.” This will trigger a Portis pop up. Click “Continue” to move forward with signing in.

You will then be prompted to log into your Portis account. If you do not have one already, choose “Create new wallet.”

To create a new wallet, fill in your email address, create a password, and complete the Captcha. Once completed, push the purple register button at the bottom.

Now that your new wallet has been set up, it’s time to create your Mint Gold Dust account. To complete your profile, choose a username and click sign up.

Your profile details can be updated any time by hovering over the “You” icon on the top right hand of the page and selecting “Edit Profile.” Here, you can add a profile image, connect your socials, and more.

To finish setting up your Portis account, go to Portis.io to purchase ETH using your credit or debit card. Once funds are added, you will then be able to use your ETH to purchase NFTs on Mint Gold Dust.
